Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Assist in managing discovery, including document review and depositions.
- Support trial preparation and participate in litigation strategy sessions.
- Review and analyze M&A and other corporate transactions.
- Research and analyze the competitive profile of markets in various industries.
- Analyze regulatory and antitrust implications of proposed transactions.
- Collaborate with clients and co-counsel across jurisdictions.
- Actively participate in client development and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in California or eligible for prompt admission.
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following: antitrust, M&A, class actions, or complex litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a team-oriented setting.
Extra Qualifications
- Judicial clerkship experience.
- Background in economics, finance, data analysis, emerging technologies, intellectual property, or privacy law.
- Experience with federal and state enforcement agencies (e.g., DOJ, FTC, AG).
- Experience with Big Law, AUSA, Federal Public Defender of large DA office.
